Getting your Trinity Audio player ready…

Graceland is getting a completely new look!
I haven’t posted about Graceland, my Animal Crossing island but it’s getting an ACNH cyberpunk island redesign! And even though I haven’t been streaming it lately, I have been playing it here and there and I’ve made a bit of progress.
My cyberpunk island is inspired by the game Stray, which ya’ll know I love. I have a lot of element from the video game, Stray that I am going to try to bring into my design.
Resetti’s Reset Services
First of all, did I use Resetti’s reset services for my ACNH cyberpunk island redesign? You bet your boots I did. And it was so incredibly satisfying. All my items that were laid out – just zoom! Right into storage! And then he gave me the option of either storing or throwing flowers into the garbage. I had so many of them I decide to get rid of them. Flowers are cheap. I’ll just start from scratch.
But that didn’t solve all my redesign issues. I had to go and dig up all the trees and put them in storage. That took some time. I didn’t realize how many trees I had. And of course, in order to dig up the trees you have to have shovels and food. So, I threw a couple bundles of fruit in my pockets (all my trees were ready to be harvested anyway) and bought a couple of shovels at the store (yes, I’m lazy).
An ACNH Cyberpunk Island Redesign Means Terraforming!
If you’re going to do a big redesign of your island, be prepared to do a lot of terraforming. Sigh. Not my favorite thing to do.
My old Graceland had a massive lake in the middle of it and beaches all along the front of the island. I’d say that likely covered about half of the island. Resetti does not take care of any of that and paths aren’t all automatically deleted either.
So, the first thing I did was fill in that lake.
Now you see why I didn’t stream this. It was boring AF!
I also had to delete all the beach/sand paths that covered massive parts of the front of the island.
I can’t even tell you how long this took. Days. Many hours.
And I didn’t flatten the island because you need to have some areas that are higher but I didn’t know where most of those areas were going to be yet. So, I did flatten most of the island with the exception of the highest level along the back. This is where the cityline is going to be.
And the Real Work Begins…
It has been a long time since I began a whole redesign. I’ve done parts of the island but never built it from scratch. I didn’t realize how overwhelming it would be.
I didn’t know exactly what I was going to do except that I wanted a big city skyline along the back of the island. That meant lots of simple panels, glowing objects, and city-type objects.
I had some but not a lot so I had to go and collect from treasure islands. I hate going to treasure islands. The time it takes is just annoying. You finally get into one and then you’re about to go and find what you’re looking for and someone else starts to land and you have to sit and wait.
I’ve done multiple trips to treasure islands and I still don’t have everything I want.
Then there’s the terraforming, breaking down bridges and inclines, getting new ones in place, moving houses, redecorating houses.
It’s a massive undertaking! But I’ll get there eventually.
Here’s what I’ve got so far….
The Skyline

Admittedly, the images would look a lot better if it was night time and you could see the glow but this will have to do for now (I got Tomodachi Life and I’m terrified to time travel now). The skyline isn’t quite complete but I’ve done a lot of work on it and spent a lot of time figuring out how I want it to look.
The third level is not meant to be explored – just looked at. There are some houses up on the third level though and they have either ladders or staircases and little patios. The patios are surrounded by cement walls, kind of like some of the ones you see on Stray.
I’m attempting to keep most of my villagers houses along the back so I can integrate them into the skyline but some of the houses will be in the main part of the island and turned into locations found in Stray (like Seamus’ house).
Other POI’s
The majority of my time has been spent on the skyline but I’ve done a few other things, too.
I have a canal running through the city. In the middle is my “rock garden and there’s an entrance on either side and a small river to jump over. The rest of the canal runs in a straight line and is surround by the same cement walls as the patios. There are a couple open areas with a dock to give villagers (and visitors) a place to fish from.
I’ve also done a couple of raised levels for variety.
Oh, and I did my entrance to kind of imitate the area on Stray in the slums where you meet the Gaurdian. I’m not sure the castle walls are the right color and I might change them. What do you think? Should they be a different design?

Future Plans
I have massive amounts of work to do including:
- Moving more houses
- Redesigning Lindsay’s house (it’s going to be the bar from Stray with a pool room upstairs and living quarters and maybe a tattoo shop)
- Finding a place for my house
- Laying streets
- Building the musician’s area from Stray
- Building Grandma’s area from Stray
- Collecting more things from treasure islands
- Building that rooftop TV area from Stray
- More terraforming
- Creating accounts and designing homes from the main characters in Stray – Clementine, Doc, Zbaltazar, and Momo
- Finding robot like clothes for the main characters (is there a robot costume in ACNH? If not, I’m considering finding someone who could desgin this for me because I’m not sure I could do this on my own!)
I’m sure there are more things to do yet! But I hope you’ll stay tuned and check in with my progress from time to time!
