Decorating, Northern Lights, Villager Arguments, and a Dream Address!
On ACNH decorating my hotel rooms has been the main attraction this week. I have to say, I do love the new update. I know decorating things is not everyone’s cup of tea but it has become my main interest in my island.
Is My ACNH Island Complete?
I’m actually beginning to feel like I might be ready for Resetti’s Reset service. I’ve done pretty much everything I want to do on my current theme. I’ve been working on a Lake Resort theme for quite some time – over a year – and I think it might be complete.
Each villager has a themed home (a diner, a nightclub, a fishing hut, a surf shop, etc.) and all the blank spots are filled with either themed areas or nature areas. There’s nothing to fill up anymore.
I’ve even finished Lindsay’s house, more or less. Lindsay is my past husband. He passed away in May of 2019 and I’ve always had him on my island in some way. On my first island, I had a gravestone and a baseball park dedicated to him. On this island, I chose to create a second account and build a house for him right next to mine. That way I can visit my ACNH version of him any time I like by playing as him on his account. His house is sparse though and if I use Resetti’s Reset service I can keep that and continue to work on his house.
I haven’t completed my museum though, so I guess I can keep working on that.
I am thinking of working on a new theme though. I just haven’t decided what it should be.
New Switch 2! And Dream Address!
I finally bit the bullet and got myself the new Nintendo Switch 2 so I am going to be able to explore some new things. I just bought the update for the Switch 2, so hopefully this week coming I will have some time to check out the new options.
I will say the graphics are amazing! It’s so bright and clear! I have no regrets about buy it yet.
I was worried about transferring everything over but it went quick and easy and I didn’t lose anything. But just to be safe, I recorded my new Dream Address finally. Just in case things went south.

ACNH Decorating: Hotel is Growing!
One of the things I’ve been prioritizing this week is getting some hotel rooms decorated because I love having all the tourists on my island! Some people are not a fan of all the tourist villager running around but I love them all. Crankies, snobbies, all of them are special.
I have had Wade, Velma, Tabby, and one of the bulls (can’t remember his name). He’s a villager that I have. had on my music festival island so it was nice to see him again.
So far in ACNH decorating of the hotel rooms, I have a seaside room, a dreamy room, a ranch room, and a Japanese themed room.
I chose to do a different Japanese room. I wanted to make it like one of the micro-rooms that are so popular in Asian countries but I couldn’t quit make it work. But it’s still cute. The dreamy room is filled with ceiling hanging things and is cute. And the ranch room has a view of the mountains and gives me very Yellowstone vibes.
I’m looking forward to seeing what other ACNH decorating options I have at the hotel this coming week!
Northern Lights
I don’t get to play in the evening very often so I was very excited that there were some northern lights on my island this week! I took several pictures but this was the best one:
Trust me when I tell you that they can be just as beautiful in real life. I live in Canada and we get norther lights a lot here!
Villager Interactions
My villagers are always a joy to talk to. I’ve made sure that I have some of the best villagers. I prefer the cute and sisterly villagers but there are some crankies that appeal to me, too. Octavius is my favorite cranky at the moment and he’s always got something amusing to say.
Papi came and gave me some weird outfit for no reason and I ended up selling it because I’ll never use it but it’s always nice to chat with him.
Coco and Zucker had a fight and I had to deliver a present from him to help them get over it. She gave him a red apron, which he seemed really excited about. I’ll admit, it did look cute on him. Maybe work clothes are his thing because he gave me a shop uniform. Yes, I sold that, too.
