Gaming Income Report: January 2026

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready…

It’s a slow month but progress is progress!

January has been a slow month for gaming income. I haven’t been working on promoting my streams. I’ve been posting less on social media. I’ve been more focused on adding content to this blog and making it as good as I can. My intention is to get approved for Google Adsense so I can make money from the blog as well as other gaming sources. But that’s not as easy as it used to be!

But I started this whole gaming income report by posting about my 2025 income so, I guess I should continue it…

Let’s get down to some numbers.

Twitch Streaming

I had hoped this gaming income report would show a payout for the month…and it does!

It’s not my biggest earning month for sure but I do have my one regular subscriber. And ad income is a little higher. So. $5.11 earned this month.

That was enough to take me over the $50 threshold an I will get paid mid-month.

As always, I’m thankful that I live in Canada and that $50 US will turn into around $65 CAN funds. Yay, me.

Epic Creator Code

Again, I was hoping to hit the $100 threshold but this time I didn’t make it.

But, I did make $7.25. So…I’ll take it.

The good thing is, I should hit payout next month and $100 US is around $115 CAN or more.

Mobile Gaming

I’m still playing mobile games but FreeCash isn’t paying out as much as it was. I’ve found a few games I like but they don’t always open, so I’ve put it aside for now. I’ve got around $10 from FreeCash that is owing and I haven’t cashed out yet.

I’ve been playing more MistPlay games. Partly because I see more games I like. I haven’t cashed out but I’m really close to $25.

I’ve also been dabbling with other apps to try and find one that I like and that has games I want to play and will actually payout.

My goal is to find two or three gaming apps that I can play on a regular basis.

One of the things I’ve changed that has affected my mobile gaming income is playing more slow-burn earning games. I know – what? That’s a term I think I came up with on my own. Maybe. It basically means that at the beginning, you’re not going to see a lot of money from it but if you keep at it, it has the potential to earn a lot more than typical games.

Atlas Earth is the main game I’ve been playing. I’m not even going to get into it right now because it needs an entire blog post of it’s own to explain it. But the gist of it is, you play the game, watch ads, get Atlas Bucks, and buy plots of land when you have enough. Those plots of land earn you real-life money. Very very very slowly at first. But the more plots of land you own, the more you earn in rent.

And Atlas Earth is set, well, on Earth. You can buy plots of land where your house is, your work, or a place you visit. There are regular, legendary, and epic plots and the legendary and epic plots earn more.

So, ya, there’s way more to it and I’m going to talk about that in a future blog post.

Future Plans

I always have plans. And they are always changing. But for the moment…

  1. Build the blog and improve the website. Get monetized with Adsense and work out my Amazon affiliate program so I can show relevant ads. The website is long-term and it’s where I direct everyone on social media.
  2. Improve networking. I need to watch other streamers and be active in their chats. The problem is finding the time to do so. I hate when people are “in my stream” but not really in my stream. You know. They pop in and say, “got you tabbed” and then they are gone. I mean, maybe that helps a little by showing someone in your stream but I don’t think it helps for ads being showed because I think Twitch is smart enough to know that there’s not actually someone there to see the ads. And it doesn’t help for engagement. So, I’m going to try to get into someone’s stream – a small to mid-sized streamer – and be active in their chat for a couple hours a week.
  3. Social media networking. I rarely ever do this. I haven’t really had great results. I’m in a couple of small Twitch streamer groups on Facebook but when I do post that I’m going on stream I don’t get results. Mostly because the post doesn’t go live until it is approved and the chances of someone coming over from you link are pretty low. So, going forward, I’m going to try to be active in other ways. Commenting on other people’s posts, making my own posts that are not “come watch my stream” related. The idea is that if people see my comments and non-promotional posts more often, when I do post my link they will at least come and follow and when they get a notification, they’ll be like, “Oh, that’s that person that posts the useful posts and comments on mine all the time in that group I’m in – I should go and check out her stream!” It’s a long-term game. So, Facebook first. Then TikTok. Then Instagram.

These are my immediate goals. I’m going to try to schedule time for these things.

Scheduling things is pretty hard this month though. We’re short staffed at work and I’m working 6 days a week and I’m freaking tired. So, I’m just doing the best I can to get some blog posts written and do some streaming.

If you like these posts and want more, please leave a comment. And if you’re a fellow streamer and want to share some advice or thoughts, I’d love to hear them!
