I Tried It So You Don’t Have To!
I’ve mentioned the Mistplay gaming app in past blog posts. There’s a good reason for that. It’s the first mobile gaming app I ever stuck with (I did try others in the past but I wasn’t happy with them) and it is one I am still using. The Mistplay gaming app is consistent above all, and that’s important.
What is a Gaming App?
A mobile gaming app is an app you download on your phone (or tablet or PC) to play a variety of games. Many of them exist today and some are better than others.
One of the main appeals of a gaming app is that it let’s you earn money while you play games. How much you earn depends on a variety of factors such as how much time you spend on it, what kind of games you play, and how many ads you watch.
If you love gaming on your phone, the Mistplay gaming app is a good choice to start with.
Should You Try the Misplay Gaming App?
If you:
- love gaming on your phone
- like to make a little side income
- don’t get bothered by ads
- are open to gift cards
then you should try the Mistplay app for mobile games.
Mistplay
★★★★★
Mistplay is a mobile gaming app that lets you try different kinds of games. In exchange you earn points that can be reimbursed for gift cards
Pros
+ Variety of games
+ Many gift cards to choose from
+ Fast disbursement of gift cards
Cons
– Ads
– Lack of new games added
Why I Love the Mistplay Gaming App
Let’s talk about why I love Mistplay first.
The main reason is, it’s easy to understand and simple. Pick a game, play it, reach the next level and get points. I mean, there are other things to consider but this is the gist of it. Anyone can download the app and start making points to go towards cashing out right from day one.
One of the other things I really like is that there are gift cards for anyone. But especially for gamers. What console do you play games on? Save up your points to get a gift card for Playstation, XBox, Nintendo Switch or Google Play.

Other giftcards include:
- Tim Horton’s
- Starbucks
- Walmart
- Cineplex
- BestBuy
- Sephora
- UberEats
- DoorDash
- GAP
Tell me there’s not one of those that you’d find a use for!
I also like that you can earn points from playing games right from the beginning of the game. On a lot of game apps, you can’t earn any real money until you hit the higher levels. You might earn 3 cents for the first level and not earn anything more than a dollar until the higher levels. For someone that gets bored with games fast, that can be very discouraging.
With Mistplay, you can play the first few levels of games and still be earning points. If you don’t like the game, stop playing it!
There’s a lot of different kinds of games to choose from, too. Simulation games, puzzle games, merge games, word games – they are all there and they all earn money.
And the thing I like best? I know when I cash out gift cards, I’m going to receive them quickly (usually within minutes) and they are not difficult to redeem. I’ve cashed out Google Play cards, Amazon cards, and a Playstation card.
What I Don’t Like
Obviously, I’d rather not watch ads but ads are what make money for apps like Mistplay. The games put ads in (some of them are optional, some are not) and they make money from the ads, then share the money with Mistplay. Then Mistplay shares what they earn with you.
So, if you want to make money from playing mobile games, ads are part of the deal.
The only other thing I don’t like about Mistplay is that they don’t get new games often enough. I play a lot of different games to maximize my earns and at some point I run out of games I want to play. Sometimes I’ll play a game I’m not really interested in just to get those first points and then I’ll delete the game. But there aren’t a lot of new ones.
If games sign up with Mistplay and don’t add money to their accounts, the games become unavailable to download through Mistplay. That’s why, when you search for certain kinds of games, you might find them “unavailable.”
At that point, I usually take a break from Mistplay and use another app for a while. But I will always go back to it.
What I’m Playing Now

I’m focused on playing two games on Mistplay right now.
Atlas Earth is the main one. I use this game every day. It’s games within a game. And it’s only kind of a game. The point is to accumulate Atlas Bucks to buy plots of virtual land on the real world map. These plots of land earn rent, which can eventually be redeemed for real world money. This “game” is a slow burn. That rent adds up very slowly; after a month and 11 plots of land, I’m only at 41 cents. BUT as long as Atlas Earth is open on my phone, I’m earning points with Mistplay!
The other game I’m playing currently is Fate War. It’s a simulation game where you build up a community and battle gargoyles and wolves and other mystical creatures. The battle is simple and the game is fairly easy. It was boosted a week ago on Mistplay (you earn faster) so I decided to give it a go.
