It’s almost time for Fortnite’s One Piece Mini-Season and I don’t know about you but I’m excited to see the Straw Hats sail in. On Sunday, November 1, 2026, the Treasure Hunter’s mini-season will launch. The live-action trailer dropped on October 27th and it confirmed what we’ve all been waiting for – a big One Piece seaon!
The season at a glance
The mini-season of Treasure Hunters will run for about a month (around November 30), as other mini-seasons like the most recent Simpsons and the previous Star Wars seasons of the past. The theme is a pirate treasure hunt: rival crews racing to uncover the ultimate treasure, with weekly hunts and new cosmetic drops through the season.
The skins: all seven Straw Hats (and friends)
Seven One Piece characters are confirmed in the trailer and key art:
- Monkey D. Luffy, Roronoa Zoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji (Straw Hats)
- Portgas D. Ace (Whitebeard Pirates)
- Buggy the Star Clown (Four Emperors)
It looks like Luffy and Buggy will be Battle Pass skins and the others will be available in the Item Shop. As always, the Battle Pass will be 800 V-Bucks (or if you have Fornite Crew it is included). There’s been some specualtion about the Sanji skin. He can be seen in the background of the trailer so many think he will be the bonus skin for the Battle Pass. People are talking about Tony Chopper being available as a Sidekick but that has yet to be confirmed.
The One Piece mini-seas will include other skins like Hatsune Miku (a new version), Lil Uzi Vert and Kesane Teto. They will all be reimagined as pirate captains, plus anime-styled versions of Jonesy and Hope.
The Going Merry replaces the Battle Bus
I love that the battle bus even gets it’s own thing going on. It will be re-done as the ship, the Going Merry, and you’ll get to sail over this new island, which is skull shaped. In the trailer, you can see various One Piece locations like Foosha Village and Arlong Park and then there the One Piece Treasure Chest. The POIs aren’t officially named yet so these are just guesses based on the trailer.
Personally, I like that the new island looks like it will keep to the usual Fortnite art style. I’m not a fan of the cel-shaded islands.
One-Piece Mini Season Mythics
Here is what you can expect from mythics in the One Piece mini-season:
- Gum-Gum Rocket and Gum-Gum Pistol (Luffy) — stretchy mobility and big damage
- Zoro’s three-sword melee — a fast dash-and-slice weapon
- Usopp’s Slingshot — long-range, and it plays a bit like the Cobalt Slingshot from the Reload Simpsons season
- Nami’s Tangerine — a healing item (exact effect still unconfirmed)
Based on the trailer, you can expect to find pirate-like weapons like the blunderbuss shotgun and a movable cannon and a 16th-century type of assault rifle.
Things We Don’t Know For Sure
Epic hasn’t confirmed the full Battle Pass reward track, exact server start times, or whether all the cosmetics drop at launch or in waves through the season. Those details will land with update 43.00 and the patch notes, and I’ll update this post when they do.
This is Why I’m Excited
Honestly, there’s been talk about a One Piece crossover since before I was playing the game and it started around 2021. I’m not the biggest One Piece fan but I loved the Netflix series and keep meaning to look into the whole thing more. Maybe this will give me the motivation to do so.
Between the treasure hunt theme, the Going Merry transition of the Battle Bus, and the cool skins, I’m pretty hyped up. But I’m always ready for something new. It’s one of the reasons I love Fortnite. It’s always changing and there is something for everyone. Even when I don’t love it, I still like it.
See you on the island, Squad. 🏴☠️
