This might be a thing…
So, here’s the thing…
There are a lot of women out there gaming these days. Cozy gamers, Fornite gamers, variety gamers – women are playing all kinds of games these day.
And you know, something else a lot of women do is read. In particular, they read a lot of romance. Not all women. But a lot of them.
But are there romance books/stories that are written for and about gamer girls falling in love (and lust)? If you do a quick search on Amazon you will find a few books but not a massive amount. I’ve found a handful of books that features gamers but if you search for “romance books about gamers” you most find titles that simply have “game” in the title or description. And usually that game isn’t related to video games.
You’ll still find a few that are related to video games but I feel like there might be a demand.
Is that because there’s simply not an interest in books about and for gamer girls? Or is it because no one is writing the kind of books about and for gamer girls that gamers want?
Gamer Romance by a Gamer Girl
I can’t help but think that if some of my gamer girl friends and followers could find a good book – or better yet, series of books – that are fun, interesting, and sexy, they would read them. If they found books where the gamer girl meets the gamer guy and they bond over their love of gaming, they would read them. If they knew that the gamer romance in question was written by a fellow gamer girlie, they might be even more interested.
Why? Because in some of the social media groups I’m in I see girls talk about meeting a guy through a game and falling in love and living happily ever after. Or happy for now anyway. So, obviously, this is a thing. It happens. And it wouldn’t happen if they didn’t want it to happen, right?
So, I’m going to give it a shot.
I’m going to start working on a series of short, instalove (things are gonna happen quickly!) stories where the game plays a pivotal role in the relationship. And they are gonna be hot hot hot! So, not for kids. I want to write books that feature popular games like Animal Crossing, Fortnite, Palworld, Fantasy Life i, and other games that people play together.
I have ideas! But I don’t want to spoil it. I’m going to make you wait. I really want to tell you more…I do! But that would spoil all the fun.

What Name Will I Publish Under?
That’s a good question. I have a pen name already that has some spicy but very sweet instalove stories published. I might use that name. It kinda makes sense since that audience already loves the kind of stories I want to write.
Maybe I could give it a series name or a subtitle that goes with my gaming name? “Cushk1970 Romances” or something like that. That would help people find the stories if they weren’t sure what the pen name was.
Oh, and if you can’t wait to read the stuff I’m going to publish, you might want to start with the Fork/Knife fiction series. It’s much tamer but there’s definitely some romance coming! And there’s the possibility that I might flesh it out with some additional spicy scenes in the future.
