Have you been waiting?
Nivalis Nights (previously just titled, Nivalis) has an official, specific release date, finally! I couldn’t be more excited!
Anyone who has been watching this cozy management game by ION Lands and published by 505 Games, has been waiting with anticipation for literal years for an official launch date. It was first announced in 2022. Each year it was postponed. The most specific the launch date got was “fall of 2025” and that came and went. It was postponed more than fans liked and some of us were ready to give up.
But there’s finally a specific launch date of September 29, 2026! That’s only two and a half months away! Should I book the day off work now? Or will it be postponed again?
What is Nivalis Nights?
If you love cozy vibes and crave a cyberpunk setting this is the game you have been waiting for. Not to say that there haven’t been other games that fit in this genre but Nivalis Nights looks like it will hit all the right buttons.
The cyberpunk world is set in the city of Nivalis (sound familiar? The predecessor to this game is Cloudpunk), complete with neon lights. The city lives in a far off future and is located in the clouds and is filled with the hustle and bustle of city lights.
There’s a massive city to explore with heavy traffic, bars, restaurants, and distinct neighborhoods. And obviously, there are crazy, funky, unique, and eccentric characters to meet with. Some of the NPCs are minor but many of them have their own stories, just waiting for you to learn about them.
But there’s more than just exploration to be done! Yes – you are the new owner of Ramen Noir, a noodle bar in a busy neighborhood. You are going to keep it going and even grow it to become bigger and better than it ever was. That means you need to buy produce from local markets, fish for fresh protien, and even grow your own garden!
And you have to live somewhere right? Can’t work all the time. You need your own special place to chill out when the day is done and you get to decorate it the way you want.
But don’t get too cozy. There’s a serial killer on the loose. Everyone is talking in hushed tones and whispers about Aseptic on the street. Are the stories true? Stay safe out there people!

Have You Been to Nivalis Before?
You might have been to Nivalis in the past if you played the predecessor, Cloudpunk. Also, kinda cozy and chill, it took place in the city of Nivalis, too.
In Cloudpunk, you play a delivery driver. You’re new to the city, so don’t get lost. There’s two rules:
- Don’t miss a delivery
- Don’t ask what’s in the package (and definitely don’t open the packages to take a peek)
I’ve played this game once and I loved it (even though I’m a horrible driver). It is currently on sale on Steam for 65% off! The characters are interesting and the graphics are beautiful. You don’t have to play it first to understand Nivalis Nights but if you’re looking for something to play before it comes out why not give Cloudpunk a play though?
Where to Get Nivalis Nights?
Unfortunately, Nivalis Nights will only be available on Steam upon release. There hasn’t been any mention of it being released on other platforms yet but since Cloudpunk is available on Playstation, Xbox, Switch, and Steam, it’s logic to bet that Nivalis Nights will be out on other platforms at some point, too.

But I can’t wait that long. LOL. I literally bought a Rog Ally so I could play Nivalis Nights as soon as it came out. And I plan on doing just that.
Now I just need to set up my Rog Ally on OBS so I can stream the game!
